Every Larrivée is built using all solid wood. No plys, laminates or "layered" woods are ever used.
They take the time to source all their own material, hand selecting the wood ensures they only use the best of the best. The search takes Larrivée from the exotic jungles of West India to the supernatural rain forests of British Columbia. The wood then arrives at the factory, ready for their curing combination of air dry and kiln drying. Some of it will age in their warehouse for up to a decade to achieve optimum tonal properties.
