The custom drum building team in Ridgeland, South Carolina uses time-tested, classic finishing techniques such as hand-rubbed stains and nitro-cellulose lacquers. Gretsch’s nitron-finishes are some of the world’s finest, offering additional durability and legendary styling. This snare drum captures the heart and soul of that "Great Gretsch Sound." The Lighting throw off offers a quick, yet precise, release. We went with the classic 42 Strand Wires to really bring out the overall body and sensitivity in the drum giving you a full and throaty tone.
