I love this bass. I think it’s a great value for a beginner; Nstuff’s excellent service, tax & shipping-free sweetened the deal even more. Looks & sounds great; integral tuner convenient & works well. I’m a brand-new bassist. Chose it after I saw an online comparison of this vs. more expensive acoustic bass guitars & this fared well. I like being able to grab it anytime/anywhere for a practice - It’s very portable - been camping with me already! For this reason I think it’s an ideal instrument to learn on before being tethered to an amp. At some point I’ll probably ‘go electric’ but hopefully by then i’ll know a bit more about my style/preferences & be a more informed shopper. Don’t listen to the nay-sayers who badmouth acoustic basses; they have their place & i’ll definitely be keeping this one even if I upgrade. Bought a nice Gator case for it for $40 which means for total $290 I have a bass guitar I can take anywhere.
