N Stuff Players Perspective
For anyone looking for a semi-hollow, without the size and weight of a Gibson type guitar, this is a very real and workable alternative. It’s light, as comfortable as any Tele to play, quiet (as the vintage noiseless pickups are hum cancelling), and very classic looking. Fender’s new deluxe line, made in Mexico, is truly a step up for an imported line. It blends the old and new together, to form a package that any Tele lover would be drawn to. I took the red one out on a gig a few weeks ago, and was blown away by its capabilities. I keep coming back to the idea that this is a very workable alternative, blending the best of bolt-neck and semi-hollow. Fender hit this one out of the park.
