Drum Workshop Collector's Series 3-Piece Purplecore Mahogany Exotic Set - 2-Tone Quilted Maple Hard Satin
Devised to provide the lowest fundamental note across the kit, this unique 9-ply shell with 3-ply reinforcement hoop features a 3-ply Purpleheart wood core with only one long grain veneer. This means the rest of the shell is short grain, thus putting very little tension on the shell and dramatically lowing the overall pitch of the drum. PurpleCore is a drum technology breakthrough that yields maximum low end response designed to compliment today's music. The Mahogany blend with the 3-ply Purpleheart core offers the lowest possible fundamental pitch that you can get from a DW drum set. We dare you to find a darker sounding drum.
We designed this kit to be the ultimate drum for the botique drummer. I've always loved the look of a good quilted maple veneer, but wanted to find the one that was perfect for the N Stuff Music drum shop. After various calls and emails between DW and myself, we found it with this exclusive 2-tone veneer. Nicknamed "coffee & cream," we knew we would have to step up our game with this set. We chose nickel hardware to really compliment the natural wood tone that the color brings out. The lux leather hoops on the kick really top it off to add a little bit of luxury to your next drum set.
